Kasey Mitchell

Landscapes manager

Kasey Mitchell grew up on a farm, where he learned land and animal management skills, how to fix broken equipment, repair fences and to be frugal with limited resources. His experience with organic farming, gardening, and landscaping has given him plant care knowledge while his work in forest restoration and management taught him broader landscape strategies.

These experiences, both domestic and international, are enhanced by his time teaching and studying permaculture since the early 90s, rounding out his holistic systems approach to living.

Rivka paul

Gardens manager

Rivka is a gardener, farmer, and fiber artist based in New Orleans and Arnaudville, Louisiana. Rivka has worked on organic vegetable and urban flower farms, as well as several plant nurseries over the past 6 years.

She discovered a love for landscaping while living in New Orleans via her passion for restoring nourishment to the soil while cultivating natural beauty for the pleasure and benefit of the community. When her hands are not with a shovel or in the soil, Rivka is likely working on a piece of hand embroidery or practicing American Sign Language as part of her training to become an ASL interpreter.

Mike DeLashment

project manager

Mike’s entry into the world of landscaping was inspired by his work as a nature sound recordist. In that time he learned to listen to the natural world and became inspired to help others do the same, both through experiencing wilderness and through creating landscapes that benefit people and the environment.

Mike holds certifications in permaculture design and stormwater management. When not listening to nature or playing in the dirt, you can find him enjoying live music or playing board games.
